Installing on Linux

    1. Download the Emily installer from the download page
    2. Unzip the emily.zip file
    3. Run the emily executable by running ./emily in a terminal opened at the unzipped directory. You will be greeted by the interactive installer:
    Welcome to the Emily CLI tool!Looks like Emily is not install on your system.
    I can install myself - just say the word.
    ? Emily: Install Emily??(Y/n) · Yes
    1. Agree to install by pressing y.
    2. Choose where the configuration files for emily will be installed. By default, emily will be installed under ~/.emily.
    Emily: Where should Emily be installed? (press ENTER for default):
    · /home/user/.emily

    1. You will then be asked whether or not you want to upload anonymous usage data to the Emily team. This data is anonymized, and is used by the Emily team to immediately detect bugs and evaluate the value of new features based on our users' usage patterns.
    ? Emily: Send anonymous usage data to the Emily team?
    You can always turn this off with the command: emily telemetry off
    (Y/n) · Yes
    1. You will then be asked whether or not you want to install the requirements for emily.
    Emily: Running emily doctor...
    Checking your system please stand by...

    Congratulations! You have successfully installed Emily.
